holy cross hospitalWhen Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale officially opened its new women’s center a couple weeks ago, it promised a one-stop healthcare experience in a relaxing, spa-like environment. Their concept is to provide a completely unique patient experience.

Their website explains, “When you walk through our doors, you will feel as though you have walked into a comforting day spa. Our caring staff will provide you with everything you need to feel completely at ease and will make sure your visit is as convenient as possible.”

What’s more, the center was specifically designed for women by women. The woman’s touch began with the planning stage, included community meetings, female designers and architects, a mostly-women staff, concierge services, and aromatherapy.

Beyond the designer décor and soothing environment, the hospital’s marketing people suggest that the Women’s Center at Holy Cross HealthPlex will be the most comprehensive facility of its kind in the nation.

The list of present and planned services is indeed impressive – all under one roof. These include Primary Care, Gynecology, Diagnostic Imaging, Urogynecology, Oncology, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Cardiology, Osteoporosis Treatment, Bone Density Screenings, Medical Spa, Meditation Chapel, Lifestyle Center, Education Center, Boutique and a Heart Healthy Café.

The recent grand opening introduced the initial phase of the $15 million project, funded by philanthropic gifts, including $5,000 pledges from over 100 community “girlfriends.”
