A technology and AI innovator and leader, Nico Coetzee is President of Healthcare Success, where he oversees client output, client relationships, and the agency's profitable growth. He brings more than 25 years of experience in digital marketing, media, and technology across five continents, with a focus on healthcare and the life sciences.
Nico has held leadership roles in large global agency networks and in the private sector, leading agencies and companies serving the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and clinical trial recruitment sectors. He began on the creative side of digital before moving into strategy and agency leadership, and he has since led teams ranging from fully virtual groups to offices in multiple countries. The common thread in his career is growing and scaling organizations, including guiding them through mergers and acquisitions.
He has applied AI and innovative technologies across healthcare technology and marketing, as well as clinical trial recruitment. He believes technology and AI should make human connections stronger, amplifying expertise rather than replacing it.
Outside of work, Nico is a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children facing some of the most difficult circumstances in the welfare system. He and his wife, Megan, have two children, and he is actively involved in their sports.
