Job Description
- Location: Remote (CA preferred)
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Salary Range: 50-85k depending on experience
Healthcare Success (HS), a digital-first, fully integrated marketing agency, is looking for a talented Local SEO Expert to join our team.
Note: This position requires prior SEO agency experience, including hands-on keyword research, keyword mapping, on-page optimizations, content strategy, and competitive analysis to arrive at the best outcomes for all the mentioned tasks.
About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Local SEO Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Google Business Profiles, Bing Business Profiles, and Apple Maps, as well as proficiency in using BrightLocal for citation management. You will play a critical role in optimizing our local search presence, driving foot traffic, and increasing online visibility for our business locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Google Business Profile Management:
- Create, claim, verify, and optimize Google Business Profiles for multiple locations. Regularly update business information, respond to reviews, and leverage posts and Q&A features.
Bing & Apple Maps Optimization:
- Set up and maintain accurate business listings on Bing Places and Apple Maps. Ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency across platforms.
Citation Management with BrightLocal:
- Use BrightLocal to audit, build, and clean up citations. Monitor and report on citation accuracy, and resolve any inconsistencies, across 25+ local citations per entity.
Local SEO Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve local search rankings, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and competitor analysis.
Review Monitoring & Response:
- Monitor reviews across all platforms and craft timely, professional responses to enhance reputation.
- Complete monthly reporting for all Local SEO accounts in a timely manner, to include relevant next steps and ongoing strategic next steps.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Track and report on local SEO performance using BrightLocal and other analytics tools. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for ongoing improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional agency teams to ensure clarity of performance across channels, recognizing how paid digital, SEO, and Local SEO inform each other.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with client, marketing, content, and web development teams to ensure local SEO best practices are implemented across all digital assets on and off-site.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing Google Business Profiles, Bing Places, and Apple Maps.
- Hands-on experience with BrightLocal or similar citation management tools.
- Strong understanding of local SEO ranking factors and best practices.
- Experience with online reputation management and review response.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS and website CMS platforms is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years in a local SEO or digital marketing role.
- Experience working with multi-location businesses.
- Certification in Google Analytics or Google My Business is a plus.
